Subject: color of film
Reason the ads look the way they do is because the color in the film fades over the years.
Subject: A gay pleasant evening for all
That Hot Dog looks wonderfully horrible.
Love the music during the "Rudy's" ad.
I'm amazed this footage still exists.
Subject: Brings back the memories
Nice collection of clips. I remember well, waiting for the next movie to begin and having to sit through all those endless cajolings to come to the snack bar. Even then, the food all looked like it was shot under some kind of pale, and sickly fluorescent lighting. But I still wanted a hot dog after seeing the pitch, just the same.

Subject: God, Sex, Burgers, Rudy's
I think I found where Rudy's might have been: in the City of McHenry, Illinois. A little west of Waukegan in Northern Ill. There's an "Old Bridge" and a marina in the McHenry too.
I love the look of that misshapen hunk grey goo they slap on the grill which is later identified as "a hamburger."
You know there's no reason why a theater today couldn't run an advisory. As private places, not government, there's nothing stopping them from telling you to "go to church!" or "quit reproducing in our theater!"
Rudy's drive-in looks like a happening place...

Subject: No kissing!
I love the ad poo-poo'ing displays of affection.
This works as both a pre-movie "welcome" spot and as an intermission ad between films.
Subject: No Kissing? Really?
Actually when I watched Drive In Movies in the early 80's I was already a young adult and went there more so I could smoke and drink......I had done all that make out stuff before or after I watched the movie, lol! Pretty cool stuff for sure, glad I got a good taste of drive in culture. I don't miss it but happy I did it!
They could never show "We urge you to attend church" anymore. That's kinda sad in a way.
I really didn't like it how they put the "sex in the car" totally up to the woman/girl.They should'a said:"hey guys, control yourselfs, and think with the head on your shoulders, while here"lol
Subject: fun food
this started to make me hungry watchin this lol. its a fun video of a time gone by. i was born in 73, so by the time i grew up there was no more drive-ins around, at least by me. a fun clip to watch!

For those who get this kind of stuff, this is pretty much the ultimate.
